4,000+ survivors, former child soldiers, widows, and youth have joined traumahealing sessions.
Community-based groups are breaking the silence around Mental Health after many sessions offered that have encouraged open conversations.

HIV/AIDS and Mental Health education in 30+ communities. Hundreds of local trained as community health volunteers, improving Maternal/Child Health and Nutrition.

TONIMO Talent Search Program – Structure
Program Goal
To discover, nurture, and showcase the hidden talents of youth and community members as a pathway to healing, empowerment, and sustainable livelihoods.
Core Activities
Community Outreach and Scouting
Engage schools, churches, cultural groups, and villages to identify potential talents (music, storytelling, arts, choirs, songs, traditional dances, sports, leadership, creativity and innovation).
Talent Search Events – development and competitions
Local and regional showcases where individuals and groups perform and present.
Categories could include music, dance, poetry, visual arts, sports, traditional dances/choirs, entrepreneurship ideas, etc.
Capacity-Building Workshops
Vocational/Short trainings in performance, creative skills, entrepreneurship, public speaking, etc.
Mentorship and Apprenticeships
Match promising talents with mentors in their field.
Create pathways for apprenticeships with artisans, musicians, cultural leaders, entrepreneurs, etc.
Starter Support and Toolkits
Provide basic equipment (e.g., art supplies, musical instruments, sports kits, fundraise small grants for micro-projects).
Showcase and Exposure
Opportunities to perform/ present at TONIMO festivals, peace/reconciliation parades/tournaments, and partner events.
Use media (radio, social media, community theatre) to amplify voices.

We are already proving that healing and hope are possible. Tonimo Foundation has:
- Facilitated trauma-healing and psychosocial support sessions for war survivors.
- Trained girls to make reusable sanitary pads, keeping them in school with dignity.
- Used football, arts, and cultural storytelling as tools for reconciliation and peacebuilding.
- Carried out HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns, reducing stigma and increasing access to care.
