- Through culture, football, arts, music, dance, and exhibitions of local foods, produce, and traditional handmade items, our programs bring communities together to showcase how foods are grown, their role in food security, and the cultural significance of preserved crafts/handcrafts, heirlooms, and artifacts. In a community that endured 20 years of conflict, these activities celebrate resilience, heritage, and the strength of coming together for dance, songs, prayers, and shared meals, promoting healing, unity, and the preservation of traditions for future generations. Community events strengthen pride and cultural heritage, with members sharing lived experiences through storytelling as a tool for identity, expression, and reconciliation.
